Let's talk Math!
I firmly believe that homework should be practice and NEVER torture. Everyone struggles from time to time. It's perfectly natural and it's how our brains grow. If your child is struggling with the homework, here are some things to try.
#1 - Take a break! If, after 20 minutes of working a problem, your child is stuck; take a break. Go play. Eat dinner. Walk the dog. Sometimes you just get stuck and taking your mind off the problem frees it to find the answer.
#2 - Check out the module/lesson video. That might help. Duane Habeker has an amazing YouTube Channel.
#3 - Call or Facetime a friend. Lots of times the kids can explain things "the Eureka way" to each other.
#4 - If all that doesn't work, put a note on the homework that you tried, but it wasn't clicking. Your child and I will work on it the next day. It might also help to send me a quick email letting me know you had trouble.
